Levodry Gel complies with the latest FCC (Federation of Cocoa Commerce) guidelines regarding the protection of Cocoa shipment via container. The Calcium Chloride contained in the desiccant bag is way more effective in removing moisture form the open environment of the container than the Silica Gel. Silica Gel is a desiccant mainly used to protect small packagings because of its high efficiency (ability to create dryness), on the contrary Calcium Chloride has a very high capacity (ability to adsorb moisture) and it is the perfect desiccant to be used in container applications, where you need to trap a lot of moisture without lowering the RH% below 40%.
