Levosil, an Italian pioneering company in the field of Protective Packaging, started its operations back in 1964. For more than half a century, Levosil is maintaining active production of desiccant bags and humidity indicators in Italy. Levosil is currently present worldwide offering its know-how to preserve the quality of goods and avoid moisture related damages in any sensitive packaging. Levosil has embraced challenges by continuously innovating its products and expanding its product line introducing advanced products such as the Micro Bags for Primary Packaging of pharmaceuticals products in 2010, the cobalt free Humidity Indicator Cards (HICs) in the 1999, and in the same year the Brown Indicating Silica Gel.
The pharmaceutical production department, operational for over 20 years, is ISO 15378 certified since 2014 and suitable to produce MOCA products. Levosil continues to do everything possible to keep its production in Italy, ensuring immediate responses and continuity in production for all its customers.
Since the beginning Levosil has believed in a commitment to quality, and over the years has integrated its system with various certifications that covers both the corporate system and directly the product itself.
System Certifications
UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 (IT- 6770 – 2017) Obtained in 1999, Levosil’s ISO certification covers all aspects of production. It is a global certification for the entire company structure.
ISO 15378:2017 (P3449) The certification was obtained in 2018. It is a specific certification to produce pharmaceutical packaging. This certification covers the line of desiccant bags called Micro Bags.
Product Certifications
DIN 55473 (5B002) Achieved in 1996, is a certification that defines the characteristics of desiccant bags to ensure the end-user receives a quality product. All desiccant bags made by Levosil are based on this standard.
FSC (CQ – COC 000426) Levosil has been FSC chain of custody certified since 2018. This certification ensures the sustainable origin of the paper material used as envelope for some desiccant bags.
Since its foundation in 1964, Levosil has been committed to high-quality innovative products that can assure simple and efficient solutions to moisture-related issues. Levosil has an internal ISO certified R&D laboratory to perform humidity-related tests in climatic chambers, develop new products, and refine existing ones. Thanks to its production located in Italy Levosil can manufacture tailor made products and guarantee immediate response to special requests for the market. Furthermore, Levosil cooperates with its customers continuously exchanging knowledge to refine products and enhance the clients’ packaging safety and efficiency.
